Juniors should be getting ready to take their ACT. The ACT is required for college admission. The test costs 35 dollars and students that receive free or reduced lunch can get up to two fee waivers to take the ACT. See Mrs. Jackson if you need a fee waiver. Students can register by mail. Applications can be picked up outside of the counselor's office. Online registration is encouraged by ACT. Simply go to www.act.org and create an online account. This year it is required that students upload a photo of themselves with their application. Please see Mrs. Jackson if you have any questions.

Jan 9 at 7:00pm there will be a parent night for 8th and 10th grade parents in order to receive and review the Plan and Explore test results.

January 9 at 6:00pm there will be a representative from a college financial aid office here to meet with parents to discuss the FAFSA. FAFSA is required for all students entering college so all parents of seniors are encouraged to attend.

Quitman will be participating in Bridge to College again this year. All seniors will be taken to ASU Heber for orientation and will do an application for admission. Students are under no obligation to attend ASU, this is done to help them learn the college admission process. Students that choose to attend ASU will already be admitted and given a priority date to enroll in classes.
